Should I use SPF every day, even when indoors?

Updated 1. January 2024

Immediate Answer: Yes, if you're near windows (UVA penetrates glass). If you're in an interior office far from windows, daily SPF matters less, but it's still a good habit. The consistency benefit of daily SPF use exceeds the sun exposure variability.

The Science: UVA penetrates glass. If you're sitting near a window all day, you're getting cumulative UVA exposure even indoors. UVB does not penetrate glass. If you're far from windows, indoor sun exposure is minimal.

That said: the goal is consistency. Using SPF daily (whether sun exposure is significant or not) builds habit. Skipping it on "low sun days" leads to skipping it on high sun days too.

Application & Reapplication Guide: Make Daycream Defence Repair SPF 50 your non-negotiable daily step. It's a moisturiser + SPF in one, so you're not adding an extra step—you're replacing your regular day cream.

Pro Tip: Indoor sun exposure through windows is real on sunny days but minimal on cloudy days. That said, building daily SPF habit is worth the minimal overhead on low-sun days. Consistency beats optimisation.
